Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day , a sweet day for couples , " All shall be well, Jack shall have Jill" , 14th ,February . The most popular gift in China for couples is chocolate which is heart-shaped , that is really romantic. What is a problem, students in China are not supported to have a boyfriend or girlfriend in school, even in college . One of my teacher , he had a girlfriend when he was in college , they had a good time in four years` college career. But when they degreed , they splited up, because they lived far away , the boy`s home is far away to the girl`s , and their parents were not agreeable . At last ,they splited up, because they had no money to get married when they left home , they choose their parents instead of lover. This is the cruel of reality, this is the reflection of reality in China . In China, the young can not live on himself until he has a good job and a own house . But a house in China is indeed expensive , if the young want to buy a house by himself ,it would cost him about 8 years while he has a moderate job which paid well in China. A fact is that the young can not have a good life without his parent`s help , that is rather different from western countries . Altough that is the cruel of reality, there are lots of lovers in school , because love can be great ,because they are young ,because they do not want to think more about thier future . Finally, how many lovers in school can be survived? You know the answer to this question on your own.

Today is Valentine's Day , lets blessing the lovers in school , wish happyness to them. Wish happyness to my sweety . Today is lover`s day!!!

im actually living in the US, cuz my nuclear family resides with me
wait, so you live in 苏州?
my cousin used to go to this private middle school there, despite the fact that he's shanghainese and that middle school was freakin' extorsive that the parents started what seemd almost like a 'riot' or something.
    so yea...

  6. Oh , yes there are some private schools in Suzhou . Now in Suzhou , If you have enough money ,you can go whatever school you like. It is a failure of Chinese education . But Suzhou is a good place to live ,u know. Water villages in Suzhou is famous. And more and more foreigners live in Suzou year by year. Because there are so many companies which was opened here by people from other countries . Just like "SHE in China" .She is live in Suzhou ,too.

  7. YUP YUP, that's a definite yes.
But the education system in the U.S isn't that much better as other nations used to see it.
Since immigrants, specifically those from Asian countries, continued to settle in certain areas like California and New York et cetera, it resulted in an exponential growth in population.
And you know how the Asians are, pressured by seemingly endless expectations from typical Asian parents, we are just trying to fulfill this American Dream and strive like no other.
    It's almost undescribablly competitive..
and the economic recession is getting internationally infamous. So opportunities for fresh college graduates to seek employment is a quite tough struggle.
I'm sorry if the aforementioned bored you to extinction, perchance.

  8. Yeah, I agree with you. So ,everybody who wants to better than before should work hard, especially in China, such a big population. I have an American Dream, too. My major in college is Business English. And I have another 3 years then degree. Life is a struggle, I should work hard, because of my ideal.苏州 is close to 上海, I have been to Shanghai several times , it is a metro. What`s your feeling live in USA ? something different from living in China?

  9. Well, I won't necessarily say that moving to the U.S is a really pivotal point, due to the fact that a teenager of 12 years is quite alright on accomodating to any new circumstance.
I haven't been back to Shanhai for almost 4 years. So I would say that nothing can be really asserted without a trip to China and thus have a clear contrast between the two countries.
Cuz the perception, being broadened in a rather gradual process, is spontaneous. So of course it's different, but the transition being pretty seamless that it's hard for me to point out too much of a difference.
Besides, since your Blogspot is open to everyone, I wouldn't wanna discuss politics or any of those subjects that are considered 'forbidden' to discuss openly in China.
So...I'm guessing that you are a college freshman?
And yea, they spy the Internet.

  10. Oh, one thing I didn't mention:
Life is more fair in U.S than other countries, that is, fair competition.
For instance, you can't PAY/BRIBE to get accepted into Harvard just cuz your parents or uncles or any of your relatives were Harvard Alumnis (although they DO consider it, but still, most of our parents didn't go to Harvard)
But hey, when I was living in Shanghai, HOLY MOTHER, our family needed to bribe a bagillion people in attempting to let me get into this really good middle school (which came out to be a failure because my math grade was devastatingly horrendous)
Simply put, in the U.S, the result accurately reflects your toil.
